The cult French pharmacy skincare brand La Roche-Posay will be holding a free, interactive live-streamed webinar discussion for all members of the healthcare community about the importance of maintaining mental health during COVID-19.
Hosted by media personality Deborah Hutton, the informative presentation will feature Dr Tim Sharp (aka Dr Happy), founder of The Happiness Institute, talking about building resilience to maintain happiness throughout difficult times, and Beyond Blue volunteer speaker and cardiologist Dr Geoff Toogood, talking about mental wellbeing and the support services available during the pandemic and beyond.
General manager L’Oréal Australia Active Cosmetics Division Yann Kerherve said the solidarity project was an expression of gratitude to all of the valued frontline healthcare workers, for their courage and dedication to ensuring ongoing health and safety amongst the wider community.
“It’s a new world, and the demand for healthcare workers has increased considerably,” he said.
“These dedicated frontline professionals are working tirelessly, and often in high-risk scenarios, to keep all Australians safe during this challenging period. La Roche-Posay has always partnered with dermatologists and healthcare professionals, to improve the ‘quality of life’ of their patients. As their journey continues, we must acknowledge their valued contribution, and continue to support them in every way possible, to improve their ‘quality of life’ and ensure their absolute wellbeing.”
The brand will be distributing more than 7000 Care Packs housing a curated selection of La Roche-Posay products, and more than 20,000 units of a Purifying Hand Gel Sanitiser, to healthcare workers across the nation.
The webinar will be held this Wednesday, July 22, from 7pm until 7.45pm.
